Doorus Cemetery Mass 2024

Mass was celebrated in Doorus Cemetery on 26th July 2024, offered for those buried in the cemetery. The weather was in the balance but it was still possible to go ahead with Mass in the cemetery.

Thanks to Thomas Kavanagh and the Cemetery Committee for the practical preparations for the Mass and for their dedication to the upkeep of the cemetery all year round. Thanks also to the sacristy team, the Altar Servers, and to the Parish Choir for your dedication. Thanks to Mary O’Donnell for photos.

For those buried in Doorus Cemetery: May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Drumacoo Cemetery Mass 2024

Unfortunately, the evening was wet on Friday 19th July 2024, so the Drumacoo Cemetery Mass moved to Ballinderreen Church, with a large congregation praying for those buried in the cemetery. The Mass was also offered for those buried in other cemeteries in Ballinderreen Parish.

Many people went over to Drumacoo Cemetery then after the Mass for the blessing of the graves.

Compliments to the Drumacoo Cemetery committee for their care for the cemetery all year round, and for keeping it so beautifully.

Fr Hugh will still go to the cemetery for the blessing of the graves after the Mass, so those who don’t mind the rain and would like to be at your family grave for the blessing are welcome to go over to Drumacoo after the Mass. (Friday 19th July 2024)
