November Lists of the Deceased: Novena of Masses

The November lists of the deceased are available at the Churches. You are welcome to take one and to return it either in the container in the Church, or in offertory collection basket or in the letterbox of the Parochial House in Kinvara or Parish Office in Ballinderreen. A Novena of Masses will be offered for those named on the lists.
 
The Masses will be celebrated as follows: (1) Saturday 5th November 2022 at 7pm in St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara, (2) Sunday 6th November at 9am in Doorus Church; (3) Friday 11th November at 10am in St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara; (4) Saturday 12th November at 7pm in St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara; (5) Sunday 13th November at 10.30am in Ballinderreen Church; (6) Thursday 17th November at 10am in St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara; (7) Friday 25th November at 10am in St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara; (8) Sunday 27th November at 10.30am in Ballinderreen Church; (9) Wednesday 30th November at 9.15am in Ballinderreen Church.

Masses for the Solemnity of All Saints will be as follows:

10am, St Joseph’s, Kinvara. We welcome back Canon Frank Larkin, former Parish Priest of Kinvara, as celebrant for this Mass.

7pm, Ballinderreen. We welcome Bishop Brendan Kelly, retired Bishop of the Diocese, as celebrant for the Ballinderreen Mass.

Vacancy: Parish Secretary position for Ballinderreen and Kinvara Parishes

Sincere thanks to Catherine Leahy for her wonderful presence and work as Parish Secretary since 2015. Catherine will soon be moving on to take up a new career opportunity. We appreciate her kindness to all who had contact with the Parish Office and her great loyalty and dedication, and we will all miss her from the Parish Office.

The position therefore becomes vacant soon. This part-time position is for four hours, four days a week, 9.30pm to 1.30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Ballinderreen Parish Office and on Thursdays and Fridays in Kinvara Parish Office. Applicants are expected to have excellent personal skills, sense of discretion, good computer skills and office management skills. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every Thursday from after 10am Mass until 7.30pm in the Adoration Chapel at St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. All welcome to call in for some time in prayer at any time during the Adoration.

Rosary on the Coast 2022

As part of the Rosary on the Coast, happening around Ireland at the same time, the Rosary will be recited at the pier in Kinvara, in the area opposite the Pier Head Restaurant, on Sunday 9th October 2022 at 2.30pm. Thanks to Mary Nolan for organising it. All welcome.
