Galway Opening Ceremony for World Meeting of Families

There will be a special Mass in Galway Cathedral on Tuesday, 21st August 2018 at 7.30pm, celebrated by Bishop Brendan Kelly, to mark the opening of the World Meeting of Families.

This will be an opportunity to participate in the World Meeting of Families, even if you cannot get to Dublin for any of the events of that week.

There will be no 7pm Mass in Ballinderreen that evening.

First Friday visits with Holy Communion

The First Friday of the month of August is coming up, and so, Fr Hugh will bring Holy Communion to those who are housebound due to illness or old age, in Kinvara Parish on Thursday, 2nd August, and in Ballinderreen Parish on Friday 3rd August 2018. If anybody in the parish is not able to get to Mass at the moment, and would like to receive Communion at home, please contact Fr Hugh, or Catherine, the parish secretary, to be added to the list for a monthly visit.
It is important that our older parishioners and those whose health does not allow them to get to the Church, not be cut off from the life of the Church and the Sacraments.
