St. Dominic’s Well
Annual Mass & Blessing of ST DOMINIC’S WELL AT ESKER 5th & 6th Jan. Special Mass at 11.00 am on Thurs 5th Jan.. This Mass will be offered to ask God’s blessing on the land, the stock, the farm implements and the homes of all our people. The well will be blessed and the water from it may be taken home to sprinkle on the land and the stock as well as the people. This blessing will be repeated on Fri 6th January after the 11.00 am Mass. All are welcome.

Doorus Annual Family Fundraising
5km fun run/walk: from Doorus National School Sun. 8th Jan. Registration from the NS at 12 noon, event starts at 1.30pm. with a cuppa and some goodies afterwards. Adults €10, free entry for children. Organised by Run Kinvara & Kinvara GAA.
Kinvara Community Radio
Raffle draw, on the 11th of December. We are pleased to announce the winner of the Luxury Hamper is, Patricia Tierney, of Traught. And the second Hamper, went to Tom Baxter, from Gort. Over €1,100 was raised over the four days at the Kinvara Christmas Market. We would like to say a big thank you to all the people of Kinvara for their generosity. Happy New Year!
Galway Hospice & Gort Day Care Centre
Fundraiser for Galway Hospice & Gort Day Care Centre: Sun. 15th Jan. 2017, 5.30pm in Gort Community Centre – Progressive Card Game and Comedy Night. All monies raised will be going to Galway Hospice & Gort Day Care Centre. In recognition of the sad passing this year of two community activists in Gort, Jamesie Lee and his sister, Sr. John Lee.
Kinvara FM
Is pleased to announce that you can now listen to it on the internet every Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 8pm. The Saturday Vigil Mass from St Joseph’s Church can now be heard every Sunday at 12 noon on 92.4 FM. Please pass on this news to those in the community who are unable to attend Mass.

You are welcome to take, free of charge, the prayer cards and religious magazines etc. left at the back of the Churches (except the Irish Catholic, which has to be paid for).

Please do not block the exits in the Church Car Park
Loop Hearing Aid System
This system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.
In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.
Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.

The deadline for notices for the Parish Newsletter is 12 noon on Thursday. Community notices are welcome when there is space, and if suitable for a Church newsletter. Please try to keep them as brief as possible. Notices of a commercial nature cannot be included in the Newsletter.
