Annual Remembrance Day Mass
Sunday 28th. May at 2.30 pm in the Holy Family Church, Mervue. This Mass is for children who died before birth, shortly after birth or at a later stage be it at home, in hospital or by accident. For more information, contact: Margaret 0858214443 or Phil 0876878931.

Altar Servers
The Pastoral Council together with Fr. Tony will facilitate a training session for Altar Servers on Friday June 2nd at 7pm in Ballinderreen Church. We say a big thank you to our senior Altar Servers who move on to Secondary school in September and we invite all the boys and girls who are currently serving and those interested in becoming servers to attend for training & practice. It is desirable that an adult (parent or guardian) attend at this session with each child so that you will be able to support them in this important step. Information and Consent Forms have been given to children who expressed interest in Ballinderreen N.S. If your child is attending a school other than Ballinderreen you can get information and register at the Parish Office. Please return completed Consent Forms to either the school or Parish Office by Tuesday May 30th
Lough Derg 2017
Season opens for One Day Retreats on Monday 1st May. Retreats continue on May 6, 7, 9, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 & 29. Advance booking is essential. Ardrahan Church of Ireland
will host an event, entitled Tales and Tunes, Sat. May 27th at 8.00pm offering a miscellany of poetry and prose with some musical interludes. An excellent line-up of performers. Admission is by donation with proceeds being shared between Ardrahan Church and COPE Galway. Everyone welcome. Bring a cushion.

Young at Heart Social Club Kinvara: Young at Heart meet this Monday 22nd May 2pm to 4 pm in Pastoral Centre Kinvara. Come along for cup of tea ,home baking live music and a chat .
The Kinvara Alive Group
Will be distributing a letter and support card to homes in the Kinvara area by May 28th. “Kinvara Alive” raises awareness about wellbeing and mental health in our community”
Kinvara Tidy Towns
would like to thank everyone who contributed to the church gate collection last week. €335.50 was collected. Kinvara Tidy Towns is organised and run by a group of volunteers We rely entirely on help from the community to keep Kinvara village looking beautiful. Loop Hearing Aid System
This system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.
In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.
Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
