World Meeting of Families News
Opening Ceremony in Galway Diocese: Bishop Brendan Kelly will celebrate a special Mass in Galway Cathedral on Tuesday, 21st August 2018 at 7.30pm to mark the opening of the World Meeting of Families. A relic of Blessed Karl of Austria will be present. It will be an opportunity to be part of the World Meeting of Families. Therefore, there will be no Mass in Ballinderreen that evening.

Travel Arrangements: We are organising a bus for both Saturday for the Festival of Families at Croke Park and Sunday for the Mass with Pope Francis at the Phoenix Park, for those who have a ticket for those occasions. If you had booked tickets and will not be using them, we would be very grateful if you would give them in to the parish office, as there has been many requests for tickets, and this would enable some who would love to attend, to travel. Times of departure will be announced when more information becomes available from the Organisers of the WMF.

If any of you have spare tickets to see Pope Francis, please hand them into the parish office and we will allocate them to people who are looking for tickets. Thank you.

Loop Hearing Aid System
This system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.
In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.
Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
