No Doorus Mass this Sunday

Please note that there will be no 9am Mass in Doorus Church this Sunday (26thSeptember) due to the Mass with the Pope in Dublin. The Mass in Doorus will resume next Sunday.

World Meeting of Families News

We warmly welcome Pope Francis to Ireland. A bus from Ballinderreen and Kinvara Parishes travelled to Croke Park for the Festival of Families on Saturday and on Sunday, a bus is travelling to the Mass celebrated by the Pope at the Phoenix Park. There will be live coverage of the Pope’s visit on RTE One television: Visit to Knock: 9am – 11.35, Phoenix Park Mass: 2pm – 5.45pm. Thank you to those who gave in tickets for the various events so that we were able to pass them on to others.
The World Meeting of Families 2018

Catholic Grandparents Association

Pilgrimage Sept. 9th, Knock Shrine at 2.30pm. All welcome to honour and thank grandparents alive & dead for all they have done for us down through the ages. A minibus will be travelling from Kinvara for this celebration. Please contact 086-1068894 if you are interested in attending. Time of departure will be in next week’s newsletter.

Ballinderreen Servers

The new rota for servers and supervisors is now available for collection in the Sacristy in Ballinderreen Church.

Adoration

Will resume in Ballinderreen Church on Tuesday 3rd September from 6pm until 6.50. The Sacrament of Confession is available during that time.

The Pride of the Parish!!!

Congratulations to our Ballinderreen boys—Rian Dunne-Leavy, Sean Kelleher, David Mannion, Michael Leahy and Stephen Mannion who took home 2 All-Ireland medals from the National Community Games last weekend.

Is pleased to announce that you can now listen to it on the internet every Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 8pm. The Saturday Vigil Mass from St Joseph’s Church can now be heard every Sunday at 12 noon on 92.4 FM. Please pass on this news to those in the community who are unable to attend Mass.

Loop Hearing Aid System

loopThis system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.

In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.

Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
