Special Collection

Diocesan Pastoral Centre: Those using the parish envelope boxes will find a special collection envelope this weekend for Galway Diocesan Pastoral Centre. It represents the pooled resources of all the parishes of the diocese to provide expert ministries in the areas of parenting and family life, support of teachers and young people, and services relating to bereavement, Rainbows, faith development, sacramental development, C.P.S.M.A., primary school catechetical support, safeguarding children and vetting.

St Joseph’s N.S. Confirmation Preparation

The 6th class pupils and their teachers and assistants from St Joseph’s N.S., Kinvara will attend Friday 10am Mass each week between now and Confirmation on 12th March. All welcome to come to pray with and for them. The Ceremony of Light in preparation for St Joseph’s N.S. Confirmation will take place on Wednesday, 13th February at 7.30pm.

Christmas Dues – Thank you

Thank you very much to all who contributed to the Christmas Dues collection. The total collected was €5,329.00 in Ballinderreen and €9,819.50 in Kinvara.

Catholic youth festival

World Youth Day was the idea of Pope Saint John Paul II and millions of young people have been inspired in their relationship with God through participation in this occasion in the various host cities.

Kinvara Community Children’s Centre

Celebrates its 10 year anniversary this June. To mark the occasion we are holding a celebratory fundraiser, “The Crechendo Ball” February 9th, Lady Gregory Hotel. Sunday 20th January: Free Family Fun Run – 5k, from Northampton N.S. at 11am. Wear something Blue! Refreshments after.

Monday 21st January: Is ‘Blue Monday’. For anyone finding January long and dreary, there’ll be a free coffee or tea at Ishka, Keoghs, Merriman Hotel, Pier Head or Siar. Come in and maybe catch up with old or new friends!

Loop Hearing Aid System

loopThis system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.

In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.

Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
