€1,198: A sincere ‘Thank you’ for you generosity and support. All the money collected in the weekend collections goes towards the maintenance and upkeep our Parish and Churches.

Diocesan Pastoral Centre Collection

Thanks for the €505.00 which was collected last weekend for the pastoral centre.

This collection funds initiatives and expert ministries’ promoting parenting and family life. It also provides resources for ministries’ in support of people who work to promote the faith life of the parishes.

Parish Youth Choir Meeting

There will be a practice on Wednesday 25th of February in the Parish meeting room (old convent). All are welcome.

Galway Novena

The Galway Solemn Novena takes places

Monday 9th-Tuesday 17th of February.

There are six sessions each day as follows:

Monday-Saturday: 7.45, 11:00, 13.10, 15.30, 19.30, 21.00.
Sunday: 9:00, 10.30, 12.30, 16.30, 18.30, 20.00.

Congratulations to Seamount College

Junior B Camogie girls who won the Connaught Schools this week against St. Raphaels College. Final score 2-5 to 0-2. Well done to all involved and best of luck in the semi-final in the coming weeks.

Family Communications

A free 8 week course: on family communications commences on Thursday 29th of January from 7.30pm-9.30pm in the Gort Resource Centre. Contact: 091 630902 or 085 2022066 for more information.

Kinvara Sewerage

The prequalification process has been completed for the above and tenders will be issued in the next week.
It is expected that tenders will be returned by end of March and contract signing by end of April. The scheme will involve a new network in the village and a new waste water treatment plant at Ballybranagan.

Public Meeting
Councillor Joe Byrne is hosting a public meeting in the Pier Head on
Thursday next 5th Feb at 8-30pm. The meeting is to update parishioners on matters relating to our community and also to discuss future plans. All welcome.

Twinning town Locoal-Mendon

A group of visitors from our twinning town Locoal-Mendon in Brittany will be visiting Kinvara on Saturday 11th April 2015. They will have their own transport so no need to worry about proximity to the village, etc.
The group consists of 17 adults and 13 children.
They’re looking for families to host them for 4 nights from Saturday 11th to Wednesday 15th April.
Please email carol @rollercoaster.ie and let her know what you can offer in terms of accommodation e.g. single/double beds, preference to host couples/kids/teens, etc.
