Masses for New Year

There will be a Mass at midnight (Mon. night 31st / Tue. morning 1st Jan) in St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara, to mark our entry into 2019. This will give an option to anyone who would like to ring in the New Year with prayer.

While New Years Day is not a Holy Day of Obligation, many people like to begin the New Year with Mass. Therefore, Masses on New Year’s Day as follows:

10am in St Joseph’s, Kinvara, and
7pm in Ballinderreen.

Christmas Novena Mass cards

Christmas cards are still available for both Ballinderreen & Kinvara Parishes. They can be purchased after all Masses this weekend, €3 each. A Novena of Masses will be offered in Ballinderreen and Kinvara for those to whom the cards are sent. The proceeds of these cards will go towards the upkeep of the Churches in the Parishes and the mission of the Parishes.

Christmas Dues Envelopes

Those using the parish envelope boxes will find an envelope for the Christmas Dues collection. Please return to the Church during the Christmas period. For those not using the envelope boxes and who wish to make a donation, you will find Christmas Dues envelopes at the entrances to the Churches. While the offertory collection funds the maintenance of the Churches and the mission of the parishes, the dues collections pay the Parish Priest’s salary and other costs of the Diocese of Galway in relation to priests. Sincere thanks for your contributions to this collection.

Loop Hearing Aid System

loopThis system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.

In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.

Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
