Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Adoration has re-commenced after the Christmas break in Kinvara, in the Adoration Chapel at St Joseph’s Church on Thursdays from after 10am Mass until 7.30pm in the evening. All welcome to drop in to pray at any stage of the day. Also, if you would be prepared to commit to a regular hour each week, since there must be somebody present when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, please let Bina Mitchell know. Adoration takes place in Ballinderreen Church on Tuesdays from 6pm until shortly before 7pm Mass.
Ballinderreen First Communion Preparation
Welcome to the second class pupils of Ballinderreen N.S., their parents and families, all together for 10.30am Mass today.
The dates for the next Masses in the months ahead are: 10th March and 7th April.
First Confession will be on Wednesday, 10th April at 7pm, and First Holy Communion on Saturday, 25th May at 11am.
St Colman’s Church Kinvara Anniversary
Date for your diary: Celebrations to mark the 200th anniversary of the dedication of St Colman’s Church, Kinvara, the oldest Church still in use in the diocese, will take place on Sunday, 22nd September. Bishop Brendan Kelly will be the chief celebrant of the 12 noon Mass that day. Planning will take place during the course of the year.
Use of Parish Meeting Rooms
Groups in the community are given the use of the Pastoral Centre meeting room in Kinvara and the Acorn Centre in Ballinderreen, on a good will basis, subject to availability and the activity being compatible with Catholic Church teaching. In order to comply with diocesan child safeguarding policy, and insurance regulations, groups requesting use of these rooms must fill the SG-07 form, accepting responsibility for child safeguarding and insurance cover. Insurance policy details are required. This applies to both regular and one-off bookings. The parish does not have the authority to make exceptions. Requests should be made through the parish office at least a week before the date of the meeting or event.
Ballinderreen Community Games
Will hold its AGM on Thursday 24th January at 8.30pm in Ballinderreen Community Centre. All Welcome.

Is pleased to announce that you can now listen to it on the internet every Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 8pm. The Saturday Vigil Mass from St Joseph’s Church can now be heard every Sunday at 12 noon on 92.4 FM. Please pass on this news to those in the community who are unable to attend Mass.

Loop Hearing Aid System
This system is now installed in St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen, St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara and St. Joseph’s Church, Kinvara. However, this system will not be available in St. Kieran’s Church, Doorus as the Church is too small for it to be effective.
In order to avail of this facility please switch your Hearing Aid to the ‘T’ position.
Induction loop systems are invaluable in assisting hearing aid users to understand spoken language, particularly in situations where there is background noise. Hopefully, this will be of great benefit to all hearing aid users.
