Solemnity of the Assumption 2025

We celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven on Friday 15th August 2025.

Mass times:
10am – St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara
12 noon – St Colman’s Church, Kinvara
7pm – At the Grotto outside Ballinderreen Church. After the Mass at the Grotto, there will be tea and light refreshments for all in the Acorn Centre meeting room behind the Church.

Cruinniú na mBád 2025

During Cruinniú na mBád weekend in Kinvara, Mass was celebrated at the Pier in conjunction with the festival, on Sunday 10th August 2025. Here are some photos from the day.

Mass was celebrated at the Pier in Kinvara in conjunction with the festival. The Kinvara congregation was joined by visitors from the Cruinniú, including many from Connemara. Mass was celebrated in the Irish language.

Cruinniú na mBád Mass 2025

12 noon Mass this Sunday, 10th August 2025, will be celebrated at the Pier in Kinvara, in conjunction with the Cruinniú na mBád festival. (So, the 12 noon Mass will not be in St Colman’s Church this Sunday.) The Mass will be celebrated in Irish, in keeping with the traditions of this festival. Both Irish language billeoga and the English language missalette with newsletter will be provided so that everybody can follow the Mass. Parishioners and visitors will come together for the celebration of this unique Mass in our annual calendar.
