Bishop Michael Duignan: New Bishop of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Apostolic Administrator of Kilfenora
Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Michael Duignan as Bishop of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Apostolic Administrator of Kilfenora. He will continue also as Bishop of Clonfert. We wish many blessings on our new Bishop and we look forward to welcoming him to Kinvara Parish and Ballinderreen Parish when the opportunity arises.

Feast Days in the first week of February 2022
St Brigid’s Day is on Tuesday 1st February 2022. Mass in Ballinderreen Church at 7pm.
The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (Candlemas) is on Wednesday 2nd February. Mass in Ballinderreen Church at 9.15am. Candles will be blessed at the Mass. If you can’t be at the Mass and would like to get candles blessed, please leave them in the Church with your name on them and you can collect them after when it suits you. Kinvara parishioners are welcome to leave candles into St Joseph’s Church, and Fr Hugh will take them to Ballinderreen for the Mass and leave them back to be collected in St Joseph’s after.
Thursday 3rd February is the Feast of St Blaise. Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara at 10am. The traditional blessing of the throats will take place after Mass. Fr Hugh will also bless throats after all Masses at the weekend.
We share in the Cross of Christ and so he is our light, bringing us to share in his Resurrection.
