Mass in Drumacoo Cemetery 2024

  • Update:
Unfortunately, the weather forecasts are predicting rain at various stages of the evening, so the Mass will now be moved to Ballinderreen Church instead. It will start at 7.10pm, rather than 7, to allow anybody who had gone to the cemetery, to get over to the Church.
Fr Hugh will still go to the cemetery for the blessing of the graves after the Mass, so those who don’t mind the rain and would like to be at your family grave for the blessing are welcome to go over to Drumacoo after the Mass. (Friday 19th July 2024)

Mass will be celebrated in Drumacoo Cemetery, Ballinderreen Parish, this Friday 19th July 2024 at 7pm. The Mass will be offered for those buried in Drumacoo Cemetery, and, because there are various other older burial grounds in Ballinderreen Parish, the Mass will be offered for those buried in those places also. All will be welcome. Sincere thanks to those making the preparations for the Mass.

The Drumacoo Cemetery Committee will hold a collection after the Mass to support the ongoing work of upkeeping the cemetery, because materials have to be purchased, lawnmowers fuelled, machinery serviced, etc.

If the weather is inclement, the Mass would move to Ballinderreen Church, and an announcement would be made beforehand on the parish Facebook page.
